The Al Ain Malankara Catholic Community celebrated AGAPE 2024, its annual gathering and late Onam celebration, on November 9, 2024, at Royal Rest, Abu Samra. The event opened at 9 am with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a presidential address, followed by vibrant cultural performances by community members. Engaging games and activities for all age groups added to the festive spirit. Concluding at 6 pm, AGAPE 2024 was a joyful day of unity, tradition, and fellowship.

The MSCC Fujairah community inaugurated "Vachavarsham" during the Holy Qurbono on September 20th. Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath - For Episcopo, alongside the faithful of MSCC Fujairah, led a solemn procession with the Holy Bible and candles, followed by the ceremonial Blessing and lighting of the candle. The procession was led by the committee members, followed by area reps and then Fr. John Thundiyath.  

Abudhabi Syro Malankara Catholic Community inaugurated "Vachavarsham" during the Holy Qurbono on 11th October 2024 Friday at St. There's Church. Rev. Fr. Mathews Alumoottil and the catechism children led a solemn procession with the Holy Bible and lights, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the candle at Alter. Shushroosha Samithi members and executives of various spiritual organisations attended the event along with the faithful.

പുനരൈക്യ ശതാബ്ദി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി മലങ്കര സുറിയാനി കത്തോലിക്കാ സഭ 2024 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 20 മുതൽ 2025 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 19 വരെ വചന വർഷമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു. 

ഷാർജ സെന്റ് മൈക്കിൾസ് ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ  ആഘോഷമായ പ്രദിക്ഷണവും വിശുദ്ധ ബൈബിൾ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയും ബഹു ജോൺ തുണ്ടിയത്ത് കോർഎപ്പിസ്‌കോപ്പയുടെ കാർമികത്വത്തിൽ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു. തുടർന്ന് ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ നിന്നും ആശീർവദിച്ച് കത്തിച്ച മെഴുകുതിരി പ്രയർ ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഏരിയ ലീഡേഴ്സിന് നൽകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

The MSCC Dubai community inaugurated "Vachavarsham" during the Holy Qurbono on September 5. Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath - For Episcopo, alongside the faithful of MSCC Dubai, led a solemn procession with the Holy Bible and candles, followed by the ceremonial Blessing and lighting of the candle. The procession was led by the committee members, followed by area reps and then Fr. John Thundiyath.  

The MCYM Dubai youth celebrated MCYM Day 2024 on October 5 and 6. The event commenced with the offertory procession during the Holy Qurbono, followed by a vibrant rally. During the rally, MCYM members, carrying the MCYM flags, led a procession to the front of the Main Hall, where Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath, Cor Episcopo, hoisted the MCYM flag in the presence of MCYM President Jacob, committee members, MCYM members, and the entire church congregation. The celebration continued with an oath-taking ceremony.

The Ras Al Khaimah Malankara Catholic Community celebrated Onam on October 5, 2024, at Wadiva Farmhouse, Ras Al Khaimah. The event was inaugurated by Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Corepiscopo, the UAE Coordinator. UAE Malankara Council General Secretary, Jomon Joseph, conveyed his warm wishes to the gathering. The festivities featured a traditional Ona Sadhya and a variety of Onam-themed games. The event was led by Vice President Shaiju John, Secretary Shaju Baby, Treasurer Ebin Kuriakose, along with other committee members.

The Year of the Word of God was inaugurated in Ras Al Khaimah on October 4, 2024, during a solemn Holy Qurbana led by Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Corepiscopo. The inauguration commenced with an evening prayer, followed by a reverent Bible procession. After the procession, the priest ceremoniously dedicated the Holy Bible at the prayer table, accompanied by lighted candles. Following the Holy Qurbana, Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath delivered a profound message highlighting the significance of the Year of the Word of God. To mark the occasion, each family in the Ras Al Khaimah community was presented with a blessed candle by the priest, symbolizing the dedication of the Holy Bible in their homes.

The Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) Ras Al Khaimah Unit celebrated MCYM Day on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The day began with a rally followed by the hoisting of the MCYM flag, which was raised by MCYM President, Sijin Varghese. Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Corepiscoppo administered the oath to the participants, while Smitha Aju led the MCYM prayer. The MCYM anthem was also sung by its members. After the Holy Mass, a cake-cutting ceremony took place under the leadership of MCYM. The event was coordinated by MCYM Secretary Tinu Thomas, Treasurer Jerin Koshy, and other office bearers.

The Syro-Malankara Catholic Church has designated 2024 as the "Vachana Varsham" (Year of the Divine Word), and the official inauguration was done by His Excellency, Most Rev. Dr. Antony Mar Silvanos. Over 650 Syro-Malankara faithful from the UAE and Oman participated via Zoom, while Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath Cor Episcopo and a group of members gathered in Sharjah to join the virtual event. Fr. John Thundiyath began the meeting with a prayer, after which Bishop Silvanos was warmly welcomed. Bishop delivered a session explaining the significance of this initiative and officially marking the commencement of the "Daiva Vachana Varsham."

The Central Executive Council of the Malankara Catholic Community in the UAE assumed office on October 3rd with a formal oath-taking ceremony. The event was led by Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath, who administered the oath to all members. The newly appointed President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other council members solemnly pledged to serve the Church to the best of their abilities.

പാറശാല ഭദ്രാസനത്തിൽ വച്ച് നടത്തിയ 94-മത് പുനരൈക്യ വാർഷികത്തിനോട്  ചേർന്ന് ഷാർജ മലങ്കര സുറിയാനി കാത്തോലിക്കാ സഭയും പുനരൈക്യ വാർഷികം കൊണ്ടാടി. 

"മാർ ഇവാനിയോസ് കൊളുത്തിതന്ന പുനരൈക്യത്തിൻ ദീപശിഖ, തലമുറ തലമുറ കൈമാറി കെടാതെ ഞങ്ങൾ സൂക്ഷിക്കും" എന്ന ചരിത്ര വരികൾ അന്വർഥമാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് ഷാർജ ഇടവകയിലെ ഏറ്റം മുതിർന്ന അംഗങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങി പുതിയ തലമുറവരെ പങ്കെടുത്ത 

പുനരൈക്യ ദീപശിഖ റാലി നടത്തി. 

തുടർന്ന് കർത്താവ് നമ്മുടെ സഭയുടെയും അതിന്റെ മക്കളുടെമേലും ചൊരിയുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക് നന്ദി സൂചകമായി പെരിയ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട ജോൺ തുണ്ടിയത്ത് കോർ എപ്പിസ്കോപ്പായുടെ കാർമികത്വത്തിൽ കൃതജ്ഞതാ ബലി അർപ്പിച്ചു.

On the momentous occasion of the 94th Reunion Day of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, MSCC Dubai marked the celebration with the ceremonial hoisting of the Catholicate flag. The flag was raised by Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath, as the entire community prayerfully watched with pride and reverence.

On September 21st, the members of Al Ain MSCC joyfully celebrated the birthday of Mathews Achan with a cake-cutting ceremony following the Holy Qurbono. The event saw the participation of committee members and children, who gathered around Achan as he cut the cake.

The MSCC UAE extends heartfelt wishes to our beloved Mathews Achan for a blessed and joyful birthday.

The MSCC members across the UAE celebrated Onam by wearing traditional attire on the 14th and 15th of September to Church. As seen in the picture, MSCC Dubai distributed Payasam after the Holy Qurbono to all present at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. 

The Ras Al Khaimah Malankara Catholic Community celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at St. Antony of Padua Church, Nakheel, Ras Al Khaimah. The solemn Holy Qurbana was celebrated by Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Corepiscopo. The celebrations included a reverent circumambulation, followed by the traditional distribution of "Pachor" to the faithful.

The children of MCCL UAE came together today under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Fr. Mathews Allumootil (MCCL Director UAE) and Rt. Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath - Cor Episcopo, to Inaugurate their Action Plan (Karma Pathadhi) for the year 2024. The inauguration was followed by a Holy Rosary Prayer in which over 30 children from all over the UAE participated. 

The MSCC Dubai had a spiritually enriching Online Talk Session organized by the Malankara Catholic Mothers Forum (MCMF), Dubai, in honor of Mother Mary's Feast. The talk was lead by Rev. Sr. Dr. Ardra SIC (Superior General of the Congregation of the SIC (Bethany Sisters)). The session was a  beautiful opportunity for all to deepen their understanding of the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the "Mother of Unity."

പരിശുദ്ധ അമ്മയുടെ  ജനനപെരുന്നാളിനോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള എട്ടുനോമ്പുപെരുനാൾ  ദുബായ് മലങ്കര കത്തോലിക്ക സമൂഹം  റവ. ജോൺ തുണ്ടിയത്ത്  കോർ എപ്പിസ്‌കോപ്പോ യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഭക്തിനിർഭരമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു. 

കാഴ്ചസമർപ്പണം , ആഘോഷമായ വി. കുർബാന, പ്രദിക്ഷണം, നേർച്ചവിളമ്പ് എന്നിവ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.

The 8 Nombu for 2024 begins on September 1, and today, the MSCC UAE Community completed its preparations for this sacred eight-day fast. In the accompanying photo, Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Cor Episcopo is seen blessing candles and distributing them to the area leaders. These blessed candles will be used during the prayer meetings held by various prayer groups over the next eight blessed days of the 8 Nombu.

The 8 days Lent started with the distribution of blessed candles by Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath - Cor Episcopo, to all prayer group leaders for daily prayers, during the Holy Qurbobo at St. Micheal's Church, Sharjah.

The MCCL Dubai hosted its annual talent fest, GLITRA, today at St. Mary’s Church. The event saw the participation of over 100 children, who competed in various categories including Liturgical Song, Elocution, Bible Reading, and Colouring. Children from different age groups were grouped into Junior, Sub-Junior, and Senior categories, allowing each to shine in their respective age brackets. The event was inaugurated by Rt. Rev. John Thundiyath Cor Episcopo, in the presence of Mrs. Ancy Philip, Head Mistress of Catechism Dubai, and Catechism teachers. GLITRA provided a vibrant platform for young talents to showcase their skills and creativity.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Adv. Reji Manakallettu faithfully served as the UAE Coordinator and Priest In Charge for the Malankara Catholic Community in the UAE since March 2021. After three years of dedicated pastoral service to both the community and St. Michael's Catholic Church, Fr. Reji has returned to Kerala. On August 15th, Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath, along with representatives of the UAE Malankara Community, bid a heartfelt farewell to Fr. Reji at Sharjah International Airport. The community extended their warmest wishes for his continued success in future pastoral endeavors.

Major Archbishop Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Catholicos presented the first award to the faithful of Malankara Catholic Church, who are actively working in social, cultural and literary fields in the UAE. The Award was instituted by UAE Malankara Catholic Council. Mr. Joy Daniel from the Dubai Community in the field of literature and Siju PT Pandalam from the Dubai Community in the field of social activities were awarded the Malankara Catholic Social Service Award. The award was given at a ceremony held on November 5, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church Auditorium, Dubai.

The Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios Educational Excellence Awards, which were initiated by the UAE Malankara Catholic Council, were presented by the head and father of Malankara Catholic Major Archi Episcopal Church, Major Archbishop Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Catholicos. The awards were given to the children who scored above 90% marks in 10th and 12th standards from various schools in the UAE. 2 children from grade 12 and 8 children from grade 10 were eligible for the education award. Among them, Irine Anna Johnson from Dubai Community in grade 12 won the first Benedict Mar Gregorios Educational Excellence Award (Memento and Rs. 1 lakh).  Alphin Philip , Benhin Joshua, Smrithi Ann Ivan, Alok Geo Amith, Steve Abraham Sunil, Rhea Robert, Ida Jacob, Anugraha Joji Mathew, Rhea George they were received mementos from Catholicos. The award was given in a ceremony held on November 5, 2023 at St. Mary's Church Auditorium, Dubai.

A visit to the holy land was conducted under the leadership of the UAE Malankara Catholic Council. Many people from different communities of UAE participated in the journey from 10th to 16th September 2023. UAE Priest in charge Rev.Fr. Mathews Alummoottil also participated with the pilgrims. This was the first visit to the Holy Land led by the Malankara Catholic Central Committee in the UAE.
